Infinite Stats and Duplication on Consoles

Want to up your Character Creation? Head to your house in Sanctuary with Dogmeat as your companion. This cheat works on consoles, and we've tested it successfully on PS4 and Xbox One.

Under furniture near Shawn's bed is You're Special, a helpful Book that grants readers a +1 increase in any stat.

Pick up the book, collect the instant stat boost, and then drop it. Order Dogmeat to pick it up, then grab it yourself just before he does. The timing on this is VERY difficult...you want to snatch the book the split second before he leans down. Keep him fully in your field of view and set him a little away from the book so you can watch him approach.

If timed correctly, he'll drop the book and you'll still have a copy in your inventory. Pick up his book and drop both. Most times, picking up both books triggers one, allowing you to increase a stat. Repeating the process allows you to collect near-infinite books and boost your stats.

In theory this duplication method should be applicable to most items in Fallout 4, though we haven't tested it that far.

Finding the Developer Room

Note: The developer console is only available on PC. PS4 and Xbox One players cannot enter this room sadly.

Using the Console Command Cheat "coc qasmoke", players can access a hidden developer room. The code teleports the character to a special town square opens access to a special town square lined with every available suit of Power Armor and bins holding all the game's Weapons, Junk, and Items.

The developer test bed is a great place to experiment with all the game's content, and also to acquire Item Codes for utilizing the game's weapons.

Players can also access any Holotape from this location.

To leave the developer room, type "COE 1 1" in the console.

The developer room is a strange, mist-filled landscape. Image ghosting sometimes occurs here.

Infinite Money Bartering

Updated: This Works With Multiple Merchants: There is an exploit that allows you to purchase really powerful weapons early in the game. To do this you need at least a small handful of caps (200-300) on hand. You can find extra CAPS if you need by killing enemies or looting boxes in various areas.

Once you have your CAPS, go to a merchant, go to any ammo type he is selling (the first one you see is usually fine, but any ammo type will work) and buy the entire supply that he is selling. Once you do this, go into your inventory and sell only ONE of the ammo type you just bought. DO NOT FINALIZE THE DEAL AT ANY POINT!

Once you sell that one unit of ammo, go ahead and sell all of the ammo you just bought right after. Again without finalizing the deal. This will cause the game to glitch and keep one unit of the ammo you bought stuck in your inventory, allowing you to

While you will not be able to gain more money than the merchant has on hand, you can do this to even out any trade with him for the most expensive items he is selling. This is INSANELY helpful when done early on in the game since you are able to purchase powerful armor pieces and weapons that would otherwise be unobtainable.

Dogmeat Cryolator

Want the Cyolator but don't want to pick the lock? Head into Vault 111 with Dogmeat and tell him to Fetch Items useful. He'll fetch the superweapon!

Endless Bobby Pins

Don't want to get locked out of anything? Quicksave before every unlocking attempt and never run out of Bobby Pins again!
